Taylor Swift to put Career before her Love Life February 14, 2010

Taylor Swift has been told to put her love life on hold for her career.  Insiders say Taylor’s mum/manager Andrea fears the singer being linked to various guys will have a detrimental affect on her clean-cut image and distract Tay from her work. Taylor S recently split from Twilight star Taylor Lautner and has since been linked to John Mayer and Glee star Cory Monteith.

Andrea has told Taylor in no uncertain terms that she must put her career ahead of dating boys. 

surfme.wordpress.com wrote: “Andrea, who has a firm grip on her daughter’s career and personal life, thinks Taylor has worked far too hard to let everything go to the wall for the sake of a boy. Taylor just wants someone to love, but she understands that her career is the most important thing right now.” 

Recent reports claimed that when Swift first hooked up with Mayer, Andrea told him to back off.

A Source said: “Andrea has told John point blank to back off. All John could do was to offer Andrea a compliment on raising a lovely daughter. He said he understood completely, and it was an honor enough to call Taylor his friend.”

The Source continued by saying: “She (Taylor Swift’s Mum) said a friendship was fine, but there was no way he’d get close enough to Taylor to break her heart if she had anything to say about it.”

John Mayer talks about how awesome Taylor Swift is. According to www.thehollywoodgossip.com John said:  “There’s something about Taylor that she would have been a star in any decade,” Mayer said. “Taylor’s like this fresh voice. Taylor Swift is the last person to know she’s Taylor Swift, which I think is totally sweet. It’s almost like Taylor Swift is like a character in a movie about a small town girl who has her dreams come true. It’s great to have someone who’s hugely talented and still is able to receive the pleasure in all moments.”

John Mayer talks about Demi Lovato October 17, 2009

John Mayer talked to MTV news about Demi:  “I like Demi a lot. It’s not a matter of obliging her. I look at what makes the best song, what makes the best sound, what makes the most timeless thing.. I think Demi has a huge career in front of her …depending on the decisions she makes in her life. And when you’re young and you’re a star, my thing for her is like, just keep writing, just keep working, just keep developing. You have to keep developing, even if you’re out in public. It’s really difficult to be seen in the public and still continue to be vulnerable as an artist. But when you’re 16 or 17, you have to. …You gotta keep learning, [even if] people are watching you.”
