Selena Gomez may just be Taylor Swift’s biggest supporter/fan.
The 17-year-old actress/singer dished to MTV: “What I admire most about Taylor is that she focuses on all the positive things — and that’s what I love about her. She won four Grammys. That was amazing. That is really what she’s passionate about — [her career and her music]. And that’s what she loves. She’s a very strong person, so that’s what she’s honoring and that’s what I’m proud of her for.”

Taylor Swift has been told to put her love life on hold for her career. Insiders say Taylor’s mum/manager Andrea fears the singer being linked to various guys will have a detrimental affect on her clean-cut image and distract Tay from her work. Taylor S recently split from Twilight star Taylor Lautner and has since been linked to John Mayer and Glee star Cory Monteith.
Andrea has told Taylor in no uncertain terms that she must put her career ahead of dating boys.

A Source said: “Andrea has told John point blank to back off. All John could do was to offer Andrea a compliment on raising a lovely daughter. He said he understood completely, and it was an honor enough to call Taylor his friend.”
The Source continued by saying: “She (Taylor Swift’s Mum) said a friendship was fine, but there was no way he’d get close enough to Taylor to break her heart if she had anything to say about it.”
